Reproduction Walnut Gear Shift Knobs to fit ’68-’79 Beetle and Karmann Ghia with 12mm gear shift threads. The Formula Vee/Amco Walnut Gear Shift Knob was offered from 1968 by VW Dealerships and similar by EMPI.

This product is produced by BEETLENESS in collaboration with Team Colorado VW Historic Rallying and represents a highly accurate and quality reproduction using the best possible contemporary materials of the original VW Dealer Sports gear shift knobs. The walnut is hand turned in an English countryside workshop and this quality not available anywhere else, no two exactly the same. Made for VW fans by VW fans.

  • Domed PU/Resin badge – hard-wearing, scratch-resistant coating.
  • Hand turned in solid American Black Walnut and wax/oiled for a hard-wearing, protected clear gloss finish.
  • Custom race engineered, knurled and bonded, *Delrin® threaded insert.
  • All UK product.

*Delrin® combines low-friction and high-wear resistance with high tensile strength and stiffness, creep and fatigue resistance, and significantly high impact resistance. No other VW gear shift knobs utilise this material.

Please note we are UK based and recommend selecting a Tracked service for all products other than those with Free Shipping..

Description

Reproduction VW Dealer Formula Vee/Amco Walnut Gear Shift Knobs for ’68-’79 Beetles and Karmann Ghia.

  • The knob is genuine solid American Black Walnut and being a natural product the grain pattern and colour shades will vary.
  • The walnut is finished with two coats of a clear hard wearing wood wax/oil to enhance its natural grain and texture with a gloss finish.

Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers as well as the wood grain and natural shade variations, product images may appear different on different monitors. Computer monitors are not all calibrated equally and colour reproduction on the internet is not precise. Since it is not possible to guarantee our products will look the same on all computers, we do not guarantee that what you see accurately portrays the colour of the actual product.
